Lab Template Permissions

Question:

If I make a lab template public, can someone from another company use it?

Answer:

The short answer is "No".  In OrasiLabs, assets/data/visibility are not shared between tenants.  "Public" in this setting has the scope of a single customer's tenant (instance) of the OrasiLabs software.  Each lab template must be given one of 3 permission settings which allow it to be kept private, or shared with other users in your organization.

When you create a template, the "Lab Template Permission" can be either "Private", "Copy" or "Public".  Here is the explanation for each:

  1. Private - Only you (and your Administrators) will be able to see, work with, and use this template

  2. Copy - Any Standard User (and Administrators) in your organization may view or copy your template (default)

  3. Public - Any Standard User in your organization may view, copy, edit, or delete your template
