Manage your list of available Amazon cloud accounts.

Cloud Accounts Overview

Each OrasiLabs tenant must be associated with at least one AWS account that will be used for any AWS charges incurred.  Most organizations will use the built-in AWS account and pay Orasi for any cloud charges.  This makes it easy to get started with OrasiLabs, especially if organizations do not already have an AWS account.  However, for organizations that want to utilize an internal AWS account, OrasiLabs allows that flexibility on certain subscription plans.

You can see any AWS accounts associated with your OrasiLabs tenant by navigating to Settings/Cloud Accounts.

NOTE: Settings is only available to OrasiLabs users with Settings Administrator permission and is not available in trial tenants.

Adding an AWS Account

Orasi recommends the following for any AWS account to be connected to OrasiLabs:

  • A new AWS account that is dedicated to OrasiLabs.  This new account can be part of your AWS organization so that you can get unified billing.

  • No other admin tools having access to that account.  This will allow OrasiLabs to effectively manage all resources in the account.

  • To be able to see the AWS billing info in your OrasiLabs dashboard, cost explorer will also need to be enabled on your AWS account.

Adding your AWS account to OrasiLabs will involve a few steps performed by you as well as some additional steps by our support team. Please use the steps below to add your AWS account and then contact our support team so they can complete the setup.

NOTE:  Some OrasiLabs subscription plans allow you to add your own AWS account.  If you are interested but do not currently have the ability to add an account, please contact our sales team to get you on the right plan.

NOTE:  If you don't already have an Amazon AWS account and would like to create a new one, please see the Amazon web site at the following link.

  1. Navigate to Settings/Cloud Accounts/+Add New Cloud Account

2. Enter a name to assign to this account and Click SetUp Your Account. This name will display in the list of accounts in OrasiLabs.

3. Clicking Setup Your Account will take you to the AWS console where you will need to sign in with your AWS account credentials.

4.  After signing-in, you will need to confirm that OrasiLabs is allowed to create resources on your behalf.

5.   When your account is ready to use, the CloudFormation stack will show a status of CREATE_COMPLETE.  This usually takes under a minute but can take longer.  Once this is complete, your account will show up in the account list in Settings/Cloud Accounts.

Once your account is showing in the list of accounts in Settings/Cloud Accounts, please contact our support team to perform the remaining tasks.
