OrasiLabs billing is based on the number of hours your users and students are active in OrasiLabs plus any AWS charges (if using an Orasi AWS account).  Administrative users can see the total hours consumed on the dashboard. 

Hours are accumulated by instructors and students that are active in the classroom and by users working with lab templates.  

By default, students are not limited to the number of billable classroom hours that they are allowed.   Students in instructor-led classes will be allowed access to the classroom (including their lab) as long as the class is In Session.  On-Demand students are allowed access at any time during their enrollment dates.  However, there may be times that you want to limit the number of hours students can access the classroom. For example, an on-demand student may have access to their student classroom for three weeks but only be allowed 20 hours of billable time within that three weeks.  This can be accomplished with the Limit Student Classroom Hours option in General Class Settings when creating and editing a class.  

The option to Limit Student Classroom Hours for all students is found in Step 4 of the New Class Wizard , in General Class Settings on the Class Edit page, and in the Current Students section of the Class Delivery page.   The value set here will apply to all students in the class.  This value can be modified before class begins and while class is In Session. 

In addition to setting hours for all students described above, limits for individual students can be set in the Current Students section of the Class Delivery page. 

When hours are being limited in a class, the student's remaining hours can be viewed in the Current Students section of the Class Delivery page.  Students will also be able to see their remaining hours and request more time. 

If a student requests more time, instructors will get a notification on the Class Delivery page and an email with the request details.  Once a request for more time is received, the student's  limit can be changed on the Class Delivery page 

Students lose access to all classroom features (including their lab) once they have used the allowed hours.  Instructors will get an email notification when students lose access. 

If classroom hours are being limited for a class, students will see their remaining hours on the My Labs tab on their Classroom page. 

 When students are down to 1 remaining hour, they will get a notification at the top of their Classroom page and the option to request more time. 

Instructors will need to modify the limit or students will lose access to the classroom.  Once students are out of hours, they can no longer interact with their lab or any other classroom features.
