Defining a Customized Schedule for Class Labs

How to add a customized class schedule to automatically start and stop class labs at predefined times.

While many instructors prefer to start and stop the class labs as needed, there may be situations where you want class labs to start and stop automatically according to a schedule. Lab schedules can be added when creating or editing an instructor-led class.

For details on adding a lab schedule when the class is created, refer to the article Creating an Instructor-led Class (see Step 2 - Lab Management).

To add a lab schedule after the class is created, navigate to the Edit Class page via the Pencil icon next to the class name in the Classes list, or select Edit Class after opening a class.

From the Edit Class page, expand the Lab Managers section and select the Calendar icon next to the lab name.

Click Add Schedule and use the Start Lab and Stop Lab options to define a schedule. For example, you can schedule the labs to start 30 minutes before the class start time and shut down 30 minutes after the class end time each day.

NOTE: For a multi-day class, The Stop Lab option will stop the labs on the last day of class and pause the labs on other days.

Once the schedule is added, you can view and delete the events by selecting the Calendar icon next to the lab name.

Any lab events scheduled for the current day will also be displayed at the top of the Class Delivery page.
