How to enable a student to work in their lab after class

Question:

I have a class that is scheduled to run from 10AM - 4PM daily, how can a I allow students to work on their labs after hours?

There are a couple of options here.

You can set the "End Time" for your class out beyond the actual instruction time. Instead of setting it from 10AM to 4PM, make it end at 6PM to give your students (and instructor) 2 extra hours after the class to interact with their labs for completing exercises.
You may also edit the class and use the event schedule under "Lab Managers/Labs" to schedule labs to stop up to an hour after the class end time.
